Ghanaian musician Lalid has had enough of the commentary from people who, in his view, have little interest in supporting his music.
The artiste took to X with a pointed message for his critics, urging those who do not believe in his brand to stop making him the subject of their conversations.
“If you don’t support my brand, leave my name out of your conversations respectfully,” he posted.
His remarks come in the wake of comments made by media personality Ama Burland during an appearance on Kwadwo Sheldon’s Studio for the KSS Games and Bants & Rants segment, where she described Lalid as an “underground artiste.”
The description quickly ignited debate across social media. While some agreed with Burland’s assessment, many others rallied behind the The Matter hitmaker, arguing that his steady progress and growing fan base deserve greater recognition rather than dismissive labels.
For Lalid, the issue appears to be less about criticism and more about consistency. If the support is missing, he would rather the conversation be too.
As he continues to build his career one release at a time, the musician seems determined to let his music do the talking, leaving everyone else to decide whether they want to be part of the chorus or simply watch from the sidelines.
