Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

For a music rivalry that has produced enough headlines to fill a scrapbook, Kuami Eugene seems ready to swap the tension for tunes.
The Rockstar is extending an olive branch to DopeNation and, in classic Kuami Eugene fashion, he is doing it with a musical proposal that has fans talking.
His peace offering?
Another animal-themed hit.
Yes, really.
From Beef to Beats
Speaking in an interview with Headless YouTuber, Kuami Eugene addressed his long-running fallout with the twin brothers of DopeNation and suggested it might be time for everyone to take a collective deep breath.
According to him, the disagreement that strained their relationship was not worth carrying into the future.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t know that the little money we’re supposed to share would trigger you like that. You both should calm down. I don’t hate them in any way,” he said.
That statement alone was enough to send entertainment fans scrambling for popcorn.
Wait… Is It An Apology or Not?
Just when it looked like the Rockstar was delivering a full apology package, he added a twist.
Kuami Eugene clarified that he was more interested in promoting peace than formally apologising.
In other words, he was not waving a surrender flag. He was simply suggesting everyone leave the drama backstage.
“I don’t even know why I’m rendering an apology over boys’ issues,” he said before adding that everyone should calm down and make another animal song together.
If Ghana’s music industry had a relationship counsellor, that line would probably be framed on the office wall.
The Animal Kingdom Reunion Tour?
The mention of “another animal song” immediately caught the attention of fans familiar with the history between the artists.
It was a nostalgic nod to a period when collaborations and creative chemistry mattered more than industry squabbles.
Rather than trading subliminal shots through songs and interviews, Kuami Eugene appears to be suggesting that hit records might be a better use of everyone’s energy.
And honestly, Ghanaian music fans would probably not complain.
No Bad Blood, Says Rockstar
The award-winning singer also made it clear that he harbours no resentment toward DopeNation.
In fact, he says he genuinely wants to see the duo succeed on the biggest stages possible.
“If I wake up and DopeNation are the biggest artistes in the world, I would actually thank God for them. I would never be pained. I would rather be happy for them.”
That is not exactly the language of someone plotting revenge tracks in the studio.
Kuami Eugene Gives ‘Kakalika’ His Blessing
Perhaps the biggest surprise from the interview was Kuami Eugene’s praise for DopeNation’s current hit, Kakalika.
Rather than downplaying its success, he openly rooted for the song to go even further.
The Rockstar expressed hope that the track would dominate playlists, inspire celebrations and even earn major accolades in the coming year. He also joked that footballers should be dancing to Kakalika after scoring goals.
That is about as close to a public endorsement as fans could ask for.
Could Ghana Music Be the Real Winner?
For years, industry watchers have followed the back-and-forth between Kuami Eugene and DopeNation like a never-ending television series.
But if this latest chapter is anything to go by, the mood may finally be changing.
Instead of throwing fuel on old disagreements, Kuami Eugene seems more interested in turning the page and returning the focus to what brought everyone together in the first place: making music people love.
Whether DopeNation accepts the invitation remains to be seen.
But one thing is certain.
If these artists ever do reunite in the studio and actually create “another animal song,” Ghanaian music fans will be first in line to hear it.
