Sista Afia Steals the Spotlight on ‘Don’t Come Too Close II’ Remix

Ghanaian musician Sista Afia has emerged as one of the standout performers on the remix of “Don’t Come Too Close II,” a high-energy dancehall track by Okese 1, Darko Vibes and Joey B.

The song, which was released around August 2, has been gaining significant traction across digital streaming platforms, with Sista Afia attracting particular attention for her fiery verse.

In a black-and-white video shared on social media, the musician is seen in the studio recording her contribution to the remix. She captioned the post: “Beast mood activated. Don’t Come Too Close Remix @Okese1.”

Her performance has sparked widespread reactions online, with many listeners praising her lyrical delivery and suggesting that she held her own alongside her male counterparts.

The track has also enjoyed strong performance on streaming platforms, reportedly reaching the number-one position on both the Audiomack Ghana and Ghana Apple Music charts.

Okese 1 appeared to share in the excitement, reposting Sista Afia’s studio clip with the emphatic reaction, “Na todaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy,” as the song continued to generate streams and shares.

On X, several users have circulated clips of Sista Afia’s performance while applauding her contribution to the record.

Latif praised the musician for holding her own alongside the male artistes, writing:

“You didn’t let the men overshadow you kraa, you match them boot for boot.”

Ray Ankrah also commended her talent while questioning why Ghanaian artistes do not always receive the same level of support as their international counterparts.

“Ghana ankasa talent dey here oo but we don’t support our own, coz what Tems and Tyla dey sing wey Sista Afia no fit sing (sic)?? lol.”

Another X user, Larbi SarkCess, praised Sista Afia’s command of the dancehall style, stating:

“Sister Afia sabi the dancehall vibes pass. Asomasi and I’m not even capping. My goodness (sic).”

Shadrack Amonoo Crabe was equally impressed, describing her contribution as:

“One of the hardest verses I’ve heard this year. SHE COOKED.”
