Shadrach Owusu, widely known as Snap C and former manager of Ghanaian music star Black Sherif, has reportedly been detained by the Ghana Police Service as part of an ongoing fraud investigation.
Reports emerging on Thursday, June 11, 2026, allege that the businessman was taken into custody over claims connected to a land acquisition and construction scheme valued at approximately $1 million.
The story was first reported by social media platform CDR Africa, which stated that investigators are examining allegations that funds paid towards land purchases and construction projects were not used for their intended purpose.
According to the outlet, “Shadrach Owusu (Snap C), former manager of Black Sherif, has been detained over allegations of a $1 million fraud linked to land and construction deals. Investigators say the projects were never completed and the funds may have been misused, with a probe currently ongoing.”
Additional details shared by State News claim that Snap C received significant sums of money from individuals after allegedly promising to facilitate land acquisitions and oversee construction projects on their behalf.
The report further alleges that investigators are scrutinising transactions involving payments of $950,000 and $480,000 for projects that were reportedly never completed.
