If there is one thing Shatta Wale never runs out of, it is opinions. And this time, the self-styled Dancehall King has aimed his latest lyrical cannon at former Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey.
During one of his signature social media sessions, where anything can happen and usually does, Shatta Wale launched into a fiery critique of the former entertainment pundit, branding him “the least intelligent person” in Ghana’s creative arts industry.
Yes, you read that correctly. Not one of the least. The least.
The Gloves Were Never On
According to Shatta Wale, his frustration stems from what he sees as unfulfilled promises made to players within the creative arts sector during Okraku-Mantey’s time in government. The musician argued that many industry stakeholders expected meaningful reforms and support, but those expectations never quite made it to the stage.
For Shatta, that disappointment appears to have fermented into a full-blown grievance.
The outspoken musician questioned Okraku-Mantey’s contributions to the industry and suggested that the former deputy minister failed to deliver the transformation many creatives had hoped for.

Before stepping into politics, Okraku-Mantey built a reputation as one of Ghana’s most recognizable entertainment commentators and industry executives. He later transitioned into public office, serving as Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture after years of involvement in creative arts advocacy.
But if Shatta Wale’s latest comments are anything to go by, the dancehall star believes the report card from that chapter deserves more red ink than gold stars.
