As heavy rains once again submerged parts of Accra, musicians Kofi Kinaata and Sarkodie joined the growing chorus of Ghanaians urging residents to stay safe amid the worsening flood situation.
The downpour, which left several roads impassable and displaced commuters across parts of the capital, quickly became one of the day’s most talked-about topics on social media. Amid the alarming images of submerged vehicles, flooded homes and stranded motorists, the two award-winning artistes used their platforms to reach out to fans and encourage caution.
Kofi Kinaata struck a personal and compassionate tone by checking in directly with his followers.
