Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially entered their happily ever after, exchanging vows in a lavish New York City ceremony that looked more like a Hollywood awards show than a traditional wedding.
Adding an unexpected twist to the celebrations, comedian Adam Sandler stepped into the role of officiant, making sure the couple’s big day came with plenty of laughter alongside the romance.
The bride and groom both chose Christian Dior for the occasion, according to Swift’s longtime publicist. Breaking away from wedding tradition, the couple skipped bridesmaids and groomsmen altogether. Instead, Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, stood proudly as her man of honour, while Travis’ brother, former NFL star Jason Kelce, served as best man.
Held at Madison Square Garden, the celebration transformed one of Manhattan’s busiest districts into an exclusive wedding venue. Streets were temporarily closed, security was tight, and a parade of blacked out SUVs delivered celebrity guests in style.
The guest list read like the credits of a blockbuster film. Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Benson Boone and Gigi Hadid were among the famous faces seen arriving for what many are already calling one of the year’s biggest celebrity weddings.
Outside the venue, devoted Swifties created a celebration of their own. Fans gathered throughout the day singing Taylor Swift hits, wearing Eras Tour merchandise and even climbing nearby scaffolding in hopes of catching a glimpse of the newlyweds or their famous guests.
The festivities had actually begun a day earlier with a more intimate pre wedding gathering attended by around 100 guests. A permit filed with New York City officials described the event simply as a “pre-party,” although there was nothing simple about the anticipation surrounding it.
By Friday, the scale had grown dramatically. Organisers expanded a large tent outside Madison Square Garden to provide guests with a discreet entrance, while crews transformed the arena with elegant curtains, gazebos and elaborate event décor worthy of one of pop culture’s most celebrated couples.
Confirming the marriage, Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, revealed that the couple exchanged vows on Friday in New York City. She also shared that their wedding looks were created by Jonathan Anderson, the creative director overseeing Dior’s women’s, men’s and haute couture collections, who worked closely with the couple to bring their vision to life.
The luxury details did not end there. The couple completed their outfits with custom Christian Louboutin shoes, while Swift accessorised her bridal look with exquisite Cartier jewellery.
As night fell, Madison Square Garden joined the celebration by illuminating giant signs reading “JUST&T MARRIED,” a playful tribute combining the initials of Taylor and Travis.
For two of the world’s biggest stars, it was a wedding that blended romance, glamour and celebrity spectacle into one unforgettable New York celebration.
