The Afrobeats throne debate has received another spark, and this time Wizkid has added the fuel himself.
Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid has stirred fresh conversations among fans after appearing to address the much-discussed debate surrounding his position and that of fellow Afrobeats heavyweight Burna Boy at the Afronation Portugal festival.
Burna Boy had performed on the opening day of the festival, prompting some of his supporters to celebrate the decision as proof that he remained the biggest name on the lineup. The statement quickly went viral, with fans interpreting it as a confident response to the ongoing conversation about why he was scheduled to close the festival after Burna Boy and other artistes.
