Just when it seemed the Sarkodie and Stonebwoy saga had reached its maximum volume, the managers have decided to grab their own microphones.
Angel Town, Sarkodie’s longtime manager, has entered the increasingly heated conversation with screenshots, timestamps and a clear message: if the story is going to be told, he wants the receipts on the table.
The latest chapter follows comments from Stonebwoy, who claimed on social media that Sarkodie’s camp had repeatedly been the one reaching out behind the scenes.
Stonebwoy alleged that Sarkodie’s team initiated discussions about a possible joint appearance at the 2025 BHIMFest concert, suggesting that his participation was essentially a favour granted after their request.
Angel Town was not impressed with that version of events.
Taking to X, Sarkodie’s manager acknowledged that he has no problem contacting fellow industry players when there is business to be handled. What he objected to, he suggested, was having those private conversations later presented in a way he believes distorts what actually happened.
His solution was straightforward: bring out the receipts.
Angel Town subsequently shared screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation involving himself and Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylzz. According to Angel Town, the exchange tells a different story from the one presented publicly by Stonebwoy.
The messages appear to show Chief Stylzz taking the initiative in discussions about possible dates for Sarkodie and Stonebwoy to make appearances at each other’s shows. In the conversation, he reportedly asked whether particular dates would be suitable for Sarkodie to attend.
That detail has added another layer to an already crowded celebrity dispute.
What began as a disagreement between two major Ghanaian music stars has now expanded into the management offices, with private communications becoming public evidence in the court of social media opinion.
And naturally, the internet has assumed the role of forensic investigator.
Fans are now examining screenshots, timestamps and message sequences with the concentration of people studying evidence in a high-profile trial. Every line is being dissected, every date is being compared and every unanswered question is being turned into another debate.
The bigger lesson may be painfully simple.
In the age of celebrity beef, memory is no longer enough.
If you said it, texted it, promised it or negotiated it, someone may have a screenshot.
And apparently, Angel Town has decided that this particular chapter deserves to be read with the receipts attached.
