His Lordship Shatta Wale Has Spoken: Apologize to Sarkodie

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

If Ghana’s entertainment industry needed a self-appointed judge to settle the latest episode of the Sarkodie and Stonebwoy saga, Shatta Wale has happily put on the wig and taken his seat on the bench.

The dancehall heavyweight recently took his theatrics to TikTok Live, appearing in full legal regalia to deliver what could only be described as a courtroom ruling from the timeline.

The outfit may have been comedy, but Shatta Wale’s verdict was anything but playful.

According to His Lordship, Stonebwoy needs to put the pride aside and apologize to Sarkodie.

Shatta Wale argued that the cryptic post from Sarkodie, which reportedly triggered Stonebwoy’s reaction, was not directed at the dancehall star in the first place. So, in his view, turning the situation into a full-blown public confrontation was completely unnecessary.

And Shatta was clearly not impressed.

The outspoken artiste questioned why established musicians continue to allow relatively small misunderstandings to grow into public spectacles. At a time when the industry could be using its influence to push Ghanaian music forward, he suggested that unnecessary beef only creates more division.

He also reminded Stonebwoy that Sarkodie is not exactly a newcomer who needs an introduction.

For Shatta Wale, the rap heavyweight has earned his place in Ghanaian music and deserves a certain level of respect from his fellow industry veterans.

But then came the plot twist.

Shatta Wale offered his own explanation for why the tension may have developed in the first place. According to him, Stonebwoy’s frustration could be linked to the famously close relationship between himself and Sarkodie.

Yes, the legendary ShattaSark bond has officially entered the courtroom.

Shatta Wale pointed to his longstanding relationship with Sarkodie as proof that two artistes can have their own disagreements, survive them and still maintain a strong bond. Their history has had its share of battles, but somehow, the friendship has refused to pack its bags and leave.

His message to Stonebwoy was therefore straightforward: whatever personal issues may exist, do not drag the ShattaSark relationship into the matter or allow those feelings to turn into disrespect towards Sarkodie.

And just like that, His Lordship delivered his ruling.

The courtroom is technically closed, but the case remains very much active on social media.

According to Shatta Wale, there is one simple way to bring proceedings to an end: Stonebwoy should apologize to Sarkodie.

Otherwise, if the matter continues to simmer, the self-appointed judge appears more than ready for the next episode.

Court dismissed. Drama pending.
