TiC TAC Backs Ras Kuuku as Sarkodie-Stonebwoy Feud Sparks Debate Over Disability Mockery

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Social media has a funny way of turning music industry beef into a full-blown morality class, and the latest chapter in the Sarkodie and Stonebwoy saga has brought veteran rapper TiC TAC into the conversation.

The controversy erupted after Sarkodie shared a video of a physically challenged man walking with crutches shortly after Stonebwoy’s major performance at London’s OVO Arena Wembley.

Considering Stonebwoy’s well-known physical disability, which resulted from a childhood accident, the post quickly attracted criticism from some social media users who interpreted it as a subtle jab at the dancehall star.

And just when you thought the internet had already exhausted its opinions, Ras Kuuku entered the chat.

Speaking during a television interview, the reggae musician criticized what he considered a lack of reaction from people within Sarkodie’s circle. According to Ras Kuuku, those close to the rapper should have spoken to him about the post rather than allowing such content to pass without challenge.

For him, music rivalry should never become an excuse to abandon basic human respect.

Apparently, TiC TAC was watching.

The veteran musician publicly showed his support for Ras Kuuku’s position, posting a brief message of agreement online.

That simple endorsement, however, was enough to summon the internet’s unofficial panel of career consultants.

One social media user cautioned TiC TAC against getting involved in the controversy, suggesting that taking a position in such a highly publicized feud could potentially affect his brand.

But TiC TAC was clearly not interested in applying for membership of the fence-sitting club.

Instead, he doubled down.

The veteran musician reminded his followers that basic human values should not suddenly disappear because celebrities are involved in a social media dispute.

He pointed out that while growing up, people were taught not to mock individuals living with physical disabilities, regardless of disagreements or personal conflicts.

His question was essentially this: At what point did online beef become a license to throw common decency out of the window?

TiC TAC also expressed concern about the growing culture of insults, allegations and personal attacks on social media, where some users appear willing to say almost anything in exchange for attention, engagement and a few viral screenshots.

And that is where this particular debate gets bigger than Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.

Music beef has always been part of entertainment. Artists will exchange lyrics, throw subliminal shots and occasionally turn social media into their personal boxing ring.

But disability is a different conversation.

You can disagree with an artist. You can criticize their music, their business decisions or even their social media behaviour. But turning a person’s physical condition into ammunition is bound to raise questions about where the line should be drawn.

Ras Kuuku drew his line.

TiC TAC agreed.

And judging from the heated reactions online, plenty of social media users are still deciding exactly where theirs is.

Because apparently, in 2026, even basic decency needs its own public relations team.
