Kwabena Kwabena Sounds the Alarm Over Sachet Water After Shocking Kitchen Discovery

Ghanaian highlife star Kwabena Kwabena is usually busy singing about love, heartbreak and matters of the heart. But this time, the crooner has traded romance for a public health concern that has caught the attention of consumers and regulators.

The musician has called on the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) and the Ghana Standards Authority to investigate the quality of Voltic Cool sachet water after making a rather disturbing discovery at home.

Like many Ghanaians who have questioned the quality of tap water, Kwabena Kwabena said he turned to packaged sachet water as an alternative for cooking.

Unfortunately, the sachet water soon gave him another reason to start asking questions.

According to the musician, some sachets he had stored at home for a couple of weeks appeared to have changed colour.

To make his point, he showed two sachets from the same bag, highlighting the noticeable difference between them.

And that immediately raised the obvious question: how does supposedly purified drinking water change colour while simply sitting around the house?

Kwabena Kwabena clearly was not interested in playing food scientist in his own kitchen.

He described the situation as serious and urged the relevant regulatory authorities to conduct proper laboratory tests to determine what could have caused the change.

His concern is particularly significant because sachet water remains an important source of drinking water for millions of Ghanaians. Any questions surrounding its safety are therefore bound to attract serious public attention.

The musician also warned about the potential consequences of consuming or using contaminated water for cooking, noting that some problems may not be immediately visible to consumers.

However, a little caution is necessary before the internet turns one suspicious-looking sachet into a nationwide verdict.

A change in colour alone does not automatically prove that an entire production line is contaminated or that the product is unsafe. Proper laboratory testing and regulatory investigation are needed before any definitive conclusions can be reached.

That is precisely why Kwabena Kwabena’s call for an official investigation matters.

Instead of social media detectives conducting their own laboratory experiments in the comment section, the appropriate authorities can test the product and establish exactly what happened.

Because when the water meant for your soup suddenly starts looking like it has developed a personality of its own, asking the experts to investigate is probably the safest recipe.

For now, the big question is simple: what caused the colour change, and is the water still safe to drink or cook with?

The FDA and Ghana Standards Authority may have the laboratory equipment. Kwabena Kwabena has already supplied the plot twist.
