Keche Joshua and Shatta Wale have criticised US-based social media commentator Firestick following remarks he reportedly made about Ghana’s traditional leadership, including the Ga Mantse.

The controversy emerged after Firestick appeared on Pluss FM, where he reportedly expressed a preference for Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to rule Accra, while describing the Asantehene as “too civilized” for his own kingdom.

The comments have attracted criticism online, with some social media users questioning the commentator’s remarks about traditional authority and cultural identity.

Firestick’s Comments Spark Debate About Traditional Authority

The controversy has renewed discussion about the way public figures speak about Ghana’s traditional institutions and cultural leaders.

Firestick’s reported remarks about the Ga Mantse and Otumfuo Osei Tutu II have prompted reactions from entertainment personalities and social media users, some of whom consider the comments disrespectful.

The incident also raises questions about the boundaries of public commentary, particularly when discussions involve revered traditional institutions.

While criticism and debate are part of public discourse, the backlash against Firestick shows how remarks about cultural leadership can quickly become a flashpoint in Ghana’s online conversations.
