NB BN million for a single performance in the United Kingdom.

Speaking in an interview with radio host Nana Romeo, Nyame questioned the credibility of the reported fee, arguing that very few promoters would be willing or even able to put seven figures on the table for one concert booking.

According to the promoter, raising $1 million for a single show is no small financial gymnastics. He suggested that securing such an amount would be extremely difficult, adding that even banks would be unlikely to approve a loan of that size for a concert venture.

Rather than believing the figure represents Shatta Wale’s actual booking fee, Nyame believes it could be part of a strategic branding exercise.

He suggested that the dancehall star may simply be putting a premium price on his brand, following the old business philosophy that if you do not present yourself as expensive, the market may never treat you as expensive.

In other words, the price tag could be less about what promoters actually pay and more about how Shatta Wale wants his brand positioned.

Nyame also explained that major international concerts do not always revolve around enormous upfront performance fees. According to him, established artists and experienced promoters often prefer partnership arrangements where both sides share the financial risks, expenses and eventual rewards.

Under such arrangements, the artist and promoter can agree on a revenue split, with figures such as 70/30 or 60/40 depending on the terms of the deal.

So, while the $1 million figure certainly makes for a headline worthy of its own concert poster, Kay Nyame appears to be asking fans and promoters to look beyond the number.

In show business, sometimes the biggest price tag is not necessarily the final price paid. It may simply be part of the performance.-3
