Tutulapato Wants the O2, Shatta Wale, and a Second Shot at the Spotlight

Some dreams refuse to expire.

For Ghanaian rapper Tutulapato, the mission is simple: get back on the mic, get back in the conversation, and eventually get on one of the biggest stages in the world.

The former Talented Kidz champion has set his sights firmly on London’s O2 Arena, and he’s hoping the journey includes a collaboration with dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale.

Speaking on Hitz FM on Monday, June 8, Tutulapato revealed that performing at next year’s Rapperholic concert at the O2 Arena sits at the very top of his bucket list.

And this is not just another ambitious artist throwing around lofty goals.

For him, it’s unfinished business.

Back in 2013, after winning Talented Kidz and becoming one of Ghana’s most talked-about young talents, he says he was promised an opportunity to perform at the prestigious venue. The moment never materialized, but the dream never left.

“After so many years of people not hearing from me, my number one dream right now is to perform at the O2 Arena during next year’s Rapperholic,” he shared. “When I won Talented Kidz in 2013 and was promised an opportunity to be there, it didn’t happen.”

Now older, wiser, and focused on rebuilding his music career, Tutulapato is determined to write a different ending to that story.

The rapper also disclosed plans to release at least four songs before the year ends, signaling that his comeback campaign is fully underway.

But there is another item on his wish list.

Shatta Wale.

And not just as an inspiration.

As a collaborator.

According to Tutulapato, securing a feature from the self-proclaimed Dancehall King would represent another major milestone in his career.

“The next one after my song Abrabo is my second dream because if I can get my godfather Shatta Wale on that song, I’ll be done,” he said.

In other words, some artists want chart success.

Some want awards.

Tutulapato just wants a Shatta Wale verse and an O2 Arena microphone.

When asked whether his ambitions included headlining his own concert at the iconic venue, the rapper quickly set the record straight.

The goal, he explained, is not to take over the stage alone.

It’s to support Sarkodie.

“Oh no, no, no. It’s Sarkodie I want to go support,” he clarified. “I don’t have a relationship with him now, but I used to when I was way younger.”

The revelation adds another layer to a comeback story rooted in nostalgia, unfinished dreams, and determination.

Once celebrated as Ghana’s youngest rap sensation, Tutulapato became a household name after winning Talented Kidz in 2013. Like many child stars, however, maintaining momentum into adulthood proved challenging.

Today, he is working to change that narrative.

Armed with new music, renewed focus, and ambitions that stretch from Accra to London, Tutulapato appears ready to remind fans why they fell in love with his talent in the first place.

The road back may not be easy.

But if determination counts for anything, Tutulapato has already taken the first step.

Now all he needs is a Rapperholic invitation, a Shatta Wale feature, and perhaps a little help from fate.
