Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has served critics a warning that comes with absolutely no sugar coating. If you come looking for trouble, she is prepared to make sure you get exactly what you came for.
The outspoken songstress has made it clear that she is not the type to sit quietly while people take shots at her. According to Sista Afia, once someone decides to cross the line, she has no problem crossing it right back.
Speaking on Pulse One on One, the singer opened up about her approach to controversies, public confrontations and the various feuds she has found herself involved in throughout her career.
For Sista Afia, her fiery personality may have something to do with her zodiac sign. The singer pointed to her Scorpio identity as one of the reasons she does not easily tolerate disrespect.
And when it comes to beef, her philosophy appears to be pretty straightforward. Do not start something with her unless you are prepared to see it through.
“I think that I would give it to you if you give it back. If you don’t start what you can’t finish, that’s with me. I don’t care how deep you can go. I can go as low as you want,” she stated.
That statement should probably come with its own warning label.
Sista Afia has never exactly been a stranger to controversy, and her willingness to respond when she feels attacked has often kept her name in the headlines. From social media exchanges to industry disagreements, the singer has shown that she is perfectly capable of giving critics a taste of their own medicine.
But does she regret some of the public clashes she has had over the years?
Apparently not.
The singer showed little remorse over her previous confrontations, maintaining that she has no reason to apologize for defending herself when she feels provoked.
In her world, respect appears to be a two-way street. Give it, and you get it. Withdraw it, and you might receive a completely different version of Sista Afia.
So, for anyone contemplating their next social media jab at the singer, perhaps take a second look at the keyboard before hitting “post.”
Because according to Sista Afia, if you are willing to go low, she already has her walking shoes on.
