Ghanaian gospel musician and pastor Akesse Brempong is in mourning following the passing of his mother, Deaconess Georgina Benchie. The family confirmed that she passed peacefully on June 6, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

In an emotional tribute, Akesse Brempong described his late mother as a source of guidance, prayer and counsel throughout his life. The family has expressed deep sorrow over the loss and has requested prayers and support during this difficult period. They also appealed for privacy as they grieve.
