Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif has earned a major international recognition after being named as the only Ghanaian artiste featured on Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido’s upcoming sixth studio album, ORIADÉ.
Davido, born David Adedeji Adeleke, unveiled the official 13-track album lineup ahead of its scheduled release on July 31, 2026, revealing a star-studded list of collaborators from Africa and beyond.
Black Sherif features on the track titled “Amazing Grace”, marking another significant milestone in his growing global music journey.
The collaboration has been described by industry observers as a reflection of Black Sherif’s increasing influence beyond Ghana, with his unique blend of highlife, reggae and contemporary hip-hop, coupled with his emotionally driven storytelling, making him one of the continent’s most sought-after young artistes.
Known for his ability to transform personal experiences and social realities into powerful music, Black Sherif’s style is expected to complement Davido’s energetic Afrobeats sound on the project.
The feature comes after a strong period of chart success for Black Sherif in Ghana and across international markets, further strengthening the connection between Ghanaian and Nigerian music audiences.
Davido’s ORIADÉ album also features several international artistes, including Leon Thomas, Aya Nakamura, Mayorkun, Fola, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, highlighting the singer’s continued commitment to blending African sounds with global influences.
Announcing the project, Davido shared a symbolic message alongside the album reveal, writing: “The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne,” as he introduced what will be his sixth studio album and seventh major project since breaking into the global music scene.
Black Sherif’s inclusion on the album adds another chapter to his international rise and reinforces Ghana’s growing presence in the global Afrobeats movement.
