Accra may be a big city, but when the entertainment industry is involved, sometimes it feels more like one very complicated neighbourhood.
Ghanaian rappers D-Black and EL recently proved just how small the world can be after revealing a rather unbelievable chapter from their younger days. The two hitmakers reportedly dated the same woman at the same time while they were both living in North Kaneshie, and neither of them had a clue.
Yes, you read that correctly. Same woman. Same period. Two rappers. Zero suspicion.
The Dog Video That Almost Ruined the Cover Story
D-Black recalled the hilarious incident during an interview, explaining that he was out running errands when the lady sent him a message claiming she was back at her house.
To make the story sound even more convincing, she reportedly sent him a video of her dog as evidence that she was indeed at home.
But then came the plot twist.
After leaving a nearby filling station, D-Black happened to drive past and spotted the woman’s car parked directly outside EL’s house.
Suddenly, the mysterious “home” she had mentioned started making a lot more sense.
D-Black quickly realised that while she was telling him she was at her house, her actual location appeared to be somewhere else entirely.
And that somewhere else happened to be his fellow rapper’s residence.
No Drama, Just Another Story for the Archives
Interestingly, D-Black decided not to confront the situation or turn it into a full-blown scandal.
According to him, the relationship was casual, so he simply let the matter slide.
Years later, however, the story became even funnier when the two rappers finally discovered that they had unknowingly been involved with the same woman at the same time.
EL reportedly admitted during the conversation that he only learned about the bizarre coincidence recently.
So, there was no dramatic showdown, no rap beef and certainly no lyrical diss track titled “Your Girl Is My Girl.”
Instead, two longtime friends were left laughing about one of the strangest chapters in their past.
What could have been an awkward love triangle ultimately became a hilarious story of coincidence, bad timing and one very suspiciously parked car.
Sometimes, the best entertainment stories are not written in the studio. They happen right outside someone’s house in North Kaneshie.
