Months of whispers and speculation can now be put to rest. The late Highlife icon Daddy Lumba was buried at his private residence in East Legon, according to his sister, Faustina Fosuh.
Speaking at a private gathering to mark the first anniversary of the legendary musician’s passing, Faustina disclosed that the family chose to lay him to rest in a mausoleum built within his East Legon home.
“He was buried in this house. I want to tell the entire world, not just Ghanaians, that anyone who wants to see the tomb of my late brother or visit his burial place should come to his East Legon residence. This is where he was laid to rest. My brother was my provider, but now that he is gone, there is no one left to support me,” she said.
Her revelation finally settles the long-running curiosity surrounding the final resting place of one of Ghana’s greatest musical treasures.
The intimate memorial brought together relatives and close friends to honour the remarkable life and lasting legacy of Charles Kwadwo Fosu, the man the world came to know and love as Daddy Lumba.
Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Accra. He was 60 years old. Though his voice has fallen silent, his timeless catalogue continues to echo through homes, airwaves and hearts, proving that true legends never really take their final bow.
