“Even My Curses Didn’t Work!” Mzbel Opens Up About GH¢1.2 Million Scam Saga

If spiritual warfare had a customer service department in 2026, Mzbel might be asking for a refund.

The Ghanaian singer has opened up about a bizarre and frustrating chapter in her life involving an alleged GH¢1.2 million recruitment scam, and according to her, even the supernatural intervention she sought failed to deliver the results she expected.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, the “16 Years” hitmaker recounted her efforts to recover money allegedly lost through a recruitment scheme involving a UK-based associate identified as Janice.

With pressure mounting from people who had entrusted their money to her, Mzbel said she went to extraordinary lengths in an attempt to seek justice and recover the funds.

And by extraordinary, we mean she went beyond the usual phone calls, complaints and legal routes.

Mzbel revealed that she travelled to Ghana’s Northern Region and even crossed into Benin in an attempt to invoke spiritual consequences against the woman she believed was responsible.

After all those journeys, rituals and spiritual declarations, however, the expected breakthrough never arrived.

According to Mzbel, Janice remains in the United Kingdom, while only small amounts of the money have reportedly been recovered through law enforcement efforts.

Apparently, the spiritual department was not taking calls.

The singer further disclosed that she continued cursing the woman during everyday activities, including while bathing and drinking water, hoping that something would eventually happen.

But nothing did.

No dramatic downfall. No sudden confession. No overnight transfer of the missing GH¢1.2 million.

Just silence.

Mzbel’s experience has now left her questioning whether spending time, money and energy on spiritual retaliation is actually worth it when dealing with financial disputes.

Her biggest takeaway from the ordeal is straightforward: save your energy, save your money and pursue practical solutions.

Because if you travel across borders, perform rituals and still end up waiting for the same money, perhaps it is time to change the strategy.

In Mzbel’s own strange chapter of 2026, it appears the gods may have simply put her case on hold.**
