It seems former hiplife star turned evangelist Yaw Siki has traded his party anthems for a full-time spot on the moral high ground, and his latest target is the internet’s most resilient habit. Taking to social media platform X, the musician voiced a fervent prayer for a total national ban on adult content in Ghana.

Yaw Siki pointed out what he sees as an annual tradition on Ghanaian social media: a high-profile tape leaks online, sending the youth down an immediate spiral of digital temptation. His comments follow a string of recent viral scandals involving public figures, including Kumawood actor Oteele and radio presenter DJ KA.

According to the evangelist, these yearly celebrity scandals act as agateway drug for young citizens, corrupting minds and triggering widespread consumption of explicit material. He firmly declared that this cycle needs to end once and for all. While enforcing an internet-wide ban on adult media might be a logistical nightmare that requires something close to a divine intervention, Yaw Siki is sticking to his guns, hoping a little spiritual intervention can shut down the digital floodgates for good.
