Gyakie has officially entered the nine-figure club, and this time, the numbers are doing all the talking.
The Ghanaian songstress has surpassed 100 million streams on Boomplay, securing her place in the platform’s prestigious Golden Club and making history as the first female Ghanaian artist to reach the milestone.
From the moment her breakout hit Forever started travelling far beyond Ghana, Gyakie has steadily transformed herself from a promising young singer into one of the country’s most recognisable musical exports.
Her smooth vocals, emotionally charged songwriting and carefully managed career have helped her build a loyal audience across Africa and beyond. With the backing of her management team at FlipTheMusic, the singer has continued to turn consistency into streaming numbers.
And 100 million is certainly not a small number.
The achievement also places Gyakie at sixth among Ghanaian artists with the most streams on Boomplay, putting her in the company of heavyweight names such as Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Kuami Eugene.
For a female artist operating in an industry where streaming milestones have often been dominated by male acts, Gyakie’s latest achievement carries an added layer of significance.
She is not simply collecting numbers. She is expanding the conversation around what Ghanaian female artists can achieve on global streaming platforms.
From Forever to the 100 million mark, Gyakie’s journey is another reminder that the right song can open the door, but consistency is what keeps an artist in the room.
The Golden Club now has another Ghanaian name on its guest list.
And Gyakie did not exactly sneak in through the back door.
