“I’m Not a Womanizer, I Just Love Women” – Kelvyn Boy Clears the Air

Kelvyn Boy may have a soft spot for women, but according to the Ghanaian hitmaker, that does not automatically make him a member of the certified womanizer association.

The Down Flat hitmaker recently addressed the assumptions that often follow male celebrities who openly express their admiration for women, insisting that loving the ladies and chasing every woman in sight are two completely different things.

Speaking during an interview on Hitz FM, Kelvyn Boy was asked about the usual vices associated with musicians, including drinking, smoking and womanizing.

His response was short, confident and very much on brand.

“I’m not a womanizer. I’m not a womanizer, but I like females,” he clarified.

And because every strong argument apparently needs supporting evidence, Kelvyn Boy brought his mother into the courtroom.

“I don’t really drink, and I love women. My mother is a woman. I love women,” he explained.

That statement may not exactly qualify as a legal defence, but Kelvyn Boy clearly believes his appreciation for women should not be confused with a reputation for running after them.

The singer also dismissed the idea that his free time is spent surrounded by an endless parade of women.

Asked whether he regularly hangs out with women, Kelvyn Boy revealed that his boys actually get most of his attention when he is off duty.

“No, I spend time with my guys more. I spend time with my guys more,” he said.

So there you have it. Kelvyn Boy loves women, respects women and is not shy about saying it. But when the cameras go off and the music stops, apparently it is his guys who get most of his hangout time.

In other words, loving women is one thing, being a womanizer is another. Kelvyn Boy wants the distinction made very clear.
