Nine-year-old Ghanaian dancer and emerging artiste Maameyaa Wells Amissah has officially begun her music journey with the release of her debut single, Young Boss, on July 10.
Popularly known as Maameyaawells, the young talent is making her entry into Ghana’s creative industry after gaining recognition for her exceptional dancing ability, confidence on stage and performances as a member of DGL Academy.
Her first single, Young Boss, introduces audiences to her artistic identity while promoting messages of confidence, self-belief and leadership. Despite her young age, Maameyaawells brings a strong sense of purpose and personality to her craft, reflecting the growing influence of young creatives in Ghana’s entertainment space.
Before venturing into music, the young performer had already captured public attention through her discipline, energetic performances and passion for creativity. Her journey represents the emergence of a new generation of young talents determined to make an impact in the industry.
Beyond entertainment, Maameyaawells is also committed to social impact through her initiative, the Wells Aid Foundation, which she established using proceeds from her performances and online activities.
Through the foundation, she supports children and young people through community outreach programmes and donations aimed at promoting education and overall wellbeing.
