Black Sherif Reveals Why Looks Alone Won’t Win Him Over

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Forget the filters, perfect selfies and carefully constructed Instagram aesthetics. If you are hoping to catch Black Sherif’s attention, looking good may get you noticed, but it will not necessarily get you anywhere.

The Ghanaian music star has revealed that when it comes to his romantic preferences, physical beauty is only a small part of the equation. What really gets his attention is the ability to hold a meaningful conversation and connect beyond appearances.

Speaking in a recent interview with MX24 TV, the Iron Boy hitmaker opened up about the kind of person who catches his interest, making it clear that his “type” is not something that can simply be judged with the eyes.

“My type is not in the physicals. My type no dey the physicals,” Black Sherif explained.

According to the musician, he prefers to actually interact with someone before deciding whether there is genuine chemistry.

“It’s almost when I see you, I dey see you, you know. Plus I for speak before I know. I no just dey judge from my eyes,” he added.

In an era where social media can make almost everyone look like they stepped straight out of a magazine cover, Black Sherif appears to be looking for something that filters cannot manufacture.

For him, beauty is common, but a person who can stimulate his mind and keep a conversation interesting is a different discovery altogether.

“We see so many beautiful girls, we see a lot of people, you understand me, but I need to have a conversation,” he stated.

And that is where the real audition apparently begins.

Black Sherif believes attraction is not simply about staring at someone’s face and deciding they are beautiful. The real test comes when the talking starts. If the conversation is dry, the chemistry may struggle to survive, no matter how impressive the packaging looks.

The “Kwaku The Traveller” star also offered a broader perspective on beauty, arguing that it exists everywhere and is not limited to human appearance.

“The beauty dey everywhere. Beauty is in everything, it’s in the trees, it’s everywhere,” he said.

So, for anyone hoping to get into Black Sherif’s good books, perhaps it is time to put the mirror down and pick up a book.

The looks might earn you a second glance, but according to Blacko, the conversation is where the real attraction begins.
