Ghanaian dancehall kingpin Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known to millions as Shatta Wale, had to pull the plug on his scheduled performance at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The cancellation was not due to missed payments or star tantrums, but rather an official safety intervention from law enforcement.

Speaking to his legion of followers during a TikTok live session, Shatta Wale revealed that the Ashanti Regional Police Commander personally stepped in to advise against the show. The chosen venue, the Lienda Ville Hostel inside KNUST, was deemed far too cramped to safely accommodate the inevitable avalanche of fans.

While the musician expressed a deep love for his Kumasi fanbase, he noted that personal safety and crowd control must take priority over a good party. According to Shatta Wale, the sheer size of his current movement means that squeezing his audience into tight spaces is a recipe for disaster. He even joked that if he stepped directly into the middle of such a packed crowd without proper barriers, his enthusiastic fans might swallow him whole.

The star urged event organizers across the country to take crowd management and security infrastructure more seriously. As far as Shatta Wale is concerned, loving your fans means making sure everyone leaves the venue on two feet.
